Not only are Grasspave2 and Gravelpave2 ideal for fire lanes, apparently they're good for fire stations, too. Fire Station #9, in Savannah, Georgia, has placed Gravelpave2 in a "washing" driveway behind the station. The August issue of Landscape Architecture magazine, features an article "Learning from Artful Rainwater Design." The Article by Eliza Pennypacker and Stuart Echols highlights a landscape design with a unique stormwater collection and reuse system at Portland State University's Stephen Epler Hall. The project profile features Rainstore3 as the collection system and the article (posted soon) features the design.

Providing a base course with porous capabilities, strength, and conducive to grass growth is not a simple task. We have developed a base course sieve chart to balance these three components. This chart and graph are available for download here. Use this base with Grasspave2 and Gravelpave2 to ensure a proper drainage, proper strength, and the ability to grow grass (when used with Grasspave2). |
