Pentagon Installations

Grasspave2 was selected as a “green” alternative for helicopter landing pads at the Pentagon RDF, which is the largest green roof east of the Mississippi. Grasspave2's high compressive strength (15,940 psi) is more than adequate to land a helicopter. The Pentagon RDF is also a LEED Certified project. Grasspave2 helped get the certification with its 100% recycled content, stormwater benefits, and heat island mitigation.

Additionally, Gravelpave2 was chosen as a part of the Pentagon Memorial, dedicated to the people who lost their lives at the Pentagon in the 9/11 attacks. The gravel surface is unique compared to many of the granite, marble, and concrete walking surfaces at memorials and monuments in Washington, D. C. and Gravelpave2 stabilizes the loose aggregate and to allow for pedestrian, wheelchair, and stroller access.
